Banham Academy Apprentice
This week we would like you to meet one of our Installation engineering apprentices, Lewis, 17. Lewis has only been with Banham Academy one month.
Once Lewis left school he wanted to find a way of learning with a ‘hands – on’ approach, he had heard of the Banham Group and was keen to join the Academy. Lewis’ role includes assisting with installations of new alarm systems under the supervision of an experienced Banham engineer. He also receives in house training at the Banham Academy.
Ensuring good customer service and enforcing Health and Safety for his customers and colleagues is very important to Lewis.
We asked if he had any advice for any young person considering an apprenticeship: “I feel an apprenticeship is the best way to move forward and progress.”
“Lewis is very focused and despite starting late his progress and catching up with the rest of the group has been very impressive” – Banham Academy Supporting Tutor.
Here you can see Lewis involved in some in house training.
