Merry Christmas from Banham Security

Christmas is the time of year when families get together and exchange gifts.

In the weeks leading up to the festive season when decorating your Christmas tree and placing presents beneath it, make sure it is not in full view of a window for all to see, including a burglar who may be tempted to break in and steal the presents as well as other valuables in the home.

With a little planning, temptation can be reduced or removed, ensuring a crime free Christmas is enjoyed by all. To ensure your home is safe, please take time to carry out your own security check in order to identify areas which may offer an opportunity to a burglar.

A Security Checklist To Assist You

✓ Ensure Christmas presents placed under the tree are not in full view from a window.
✓ At night shut and lock windows and doors. Draw curtains and blinds.
✓ Do not feed electric cables for external Christmas lights through an open window.
✓ Don’t advertise through social media sites or through a voicemail message that you will be away for Christmas.
✓ If you have a burglar alarm set it whenever you leave the house. If you do not have one, Banham Security can offer you a free survey and provide all services needed to enhance the security of your home.
✓ After Christmas don’t advertise your presents by leaving cardboard boxes and packaging by the dustbin.
✓ Christmas is a time for giving and receiving but remember: Burglars Take.
