Crime Reduction Open Day Event
Friday 6th March was the opening of our very first Crime Reduction Day event held at the Guildhall in Guildford. With support from security professionals the event provided locals with personal and property protection advice.
A number of Banham products were showcased at the event, giving attendees the opportunity to view and come into contact with the prospective security items. and learn about some of the security products on show.
Attendees to the event included representatives from Banham Security, Surrey Fire, Experience Guildford, local residents and Police officers.
It was great to see the attendance of local Police officers, as we work with Crime Reduction Officers throughout the South East of England, keeping up to date on local crime trends.
All attendees were provided with free consultations as well as being treated to a free buffet and refreshments in between break periods.
At the end of the event we provided leaflets and booklets containing contact details for attendees to find out more about security products and how best to maintain high levels of personal and property security.
‘Surrey Media Coverage’
Details of the impressive turnout (over 200 attendees) clearly caught the attention of local media as the event was given a column in the Surrey Advertiser and hailed as a “tremendous success”.
Stuart Craggs, Experience Guildford’s night time economy manager and partnership coordinator, said: “The crime reduction open day was the ideal platform to offer collaborative safety advice and guidance from a range of partner organisations. This united approach demonstrates and extends the strong partnerships involved in reducing crime within Guildford, helping raise awareness of the hard work and initiatives that Experience Guildford and partners have undertaken to ensure we remain one of the safest towns in Surrey”
