Dear Customer,

BANHAM REMAINS OPEN TO CARRY OUT ROUTINE MAINTENANCE

Government guidance permits us to attend your property to carry out maintenance appointments during the lockdown. We take safety extremely seriously and operate with robust, tried and tested safety measures in place.

We intend to visit your property to carry out the routine maintenance of your security system on the date specified.

Should the proposed time not be convenient, please email us at maintenance@banham.com or call 020 7819 3707 to re-schedule your appointment.

PROTECTING OUR CUSTOMERS AND COLLEAGUES FROM COVID-19

Banham remains open throughout the period of new restrictions and with your agreement can visit your property to carry out the essential maintenance checks of your security system. This is because Government guidance permits tradespeople like us to work in homes and properties.

For all visits during the second lockdown, we will operate with our stringent safety measures in place, which have been tried and tested over many months. To date we have conducted over 17,000 maintenance visits safely since our engineers started visiting properties again in June. Across our business our engineers have visited thousands more properties and continue to ensure our customers remain safe and secure in their homes and businesses.

To keep you safe, we have:

  • Issued all our engineers with enhanced Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), hand hygiene and cleaning supplies.
  • Introduced on-site risk assessments and clear site conduct procedures to ensure we can carry out our visit safely, and not put anyone at unnecessary risk.
  • Conducted engineer training on the importance of hygiene, social distancing, and the new safety procedures we have implemented. To ensure all our engineers maintain the highest safety standards, they are also required to undertake regular refresher courses.
  • Made all our staff aware of the symptoms of COVID-19 and have instructed them to stay at home if they or anyone in their household has symptoms or has been asked to isolate by the NHS.
  • An enhanced sick pay policy for Covid-19 related isolation. This means that any colleagues who are unwell or isolating are always paid in full. This ensures none of our colleagues have any reason to come to work or into your property if they are unwell.

What we need from our customers

  • Please inform us ahead of our visit if you or anyone at the property is experiencing symptoms of COVID-19 or is isolating or quarantining due to COVID-19. In these circumstances we will re-book your appointment at no extra charge.
  • Let us know if you or anyone at the property is shielding or at particularly high risk. We can attend with your agreement, but as a precaution request that the individual isolates in a room away from our engineer.
  • To observe social distancing and ensure everyone in the property keeps a two-metre distance from our engineer at all times and where possible keep the area where our engineer is working vacant.
  • In properties that may be small, or where keeping the recommended distance may not always be possible, we kindly request that you consider wearing a face covering.

To reduce contact, we will not be requiring a signature from you on completion of the maintenance visit and you will receive the attendance report as usual by email. To ensure your maintenance inspection report goes to the correct email address please update us if your email address has changed at maintenance@banham.com.

We look forward to visiting your property and carrying out the routine maintenance of your security system.  Please do let us know as soon as possible if this is not convenient and you would like to postpone your visit.

Yours faithfully,

The Maintenance Department
